A Multi-Path Signal Propagation Model for the Power Line Channel in the High Frequency Range
نویسندگان
چکیده
For the use of the mains networks as high speed data path for Internet, voice and data services carrier frequencies within the range from 500 kHz up to 20 MHz must be considered. The development of suitable communication systems and the planning of power line communication networks requires measurement-based models of the transfer characteristics of the mains network in the abovementioned frequency range. ' The heterogeneous structure of the mains network with numerous branches and impedance mismatching causes numerous reflections. Besides multi-path propagation with frequency-selective fading, typical power cables exhibit signal attenuation increasing with lengtli and frequency. The complex transfer function of n power line link can be described by a parametric model in the considered frequency range. Measurements of amplitude and phase response of a sample network with well-known geometry approve the validity of the model. Comparisons with measurements conducted at ,,live6' mains networks prove the validity of the model also for real network topologies.

Estimation of harmonic interference parameters of surface-NMR signal using an adaptive method and residual signal power
Surface nuclear magnetic resonance (surface-NMR) method is a well-known tool for determining the water-bearing layers and subsurface resistivity structure. Harmonic interference is an inevitable interference in surface-NMR measurements. Accurate estimation of harmonic interference parameters (i.e., fundamental frequency, phase and amplitude) leads to better retrieval of power-line harmonics and...

In order to achieve reliable and high-speed 10kV power line carrier communications, it is necessary to study the characteristics of channel. Based on the multi-conductor transmission line theory, the chain matrix channel model is established. A lumped parameter model of distribution transformer is proposed from impedance measurement in the frequency range 50-500kHz. The terminal voltages and cu...
متن کاملA New High Frequency Grid Impedance Estimation Technique for the Frequency Range of 2 to150 kHz
Grid impedance estimation is used in many power system applications such as grid connected renewable energy systems and power quality analysis of smart grids. The grid impedance estimation techniques based on signal injection uses Ohm’s law for the estimation. In these methods, one or several signal(s) is (are) injected to Point of Common Coupling (PCC). Then the current through and voltage of ...
